CRY is a wholly Indian support organisation with its headquarters in Mumbai and branches in Bangalore, Calcutta, Chennai, and Delhi. It builds awareness and public support for the rights of Indian children, and mobilises resources of money, time, skills and materials to support development initiatives for Indian children. It supports over 300 partners across the country that focus on providing developmental opportunities for children, within the context of their families and communities. It also supports individuals working on child-related issues through the Rippan Kapur-CRY Fellowship programme; and resource centres and training organisations focussed on education and health. It participates in and initiates networking and collective action efforts, and works towards ensuring the adoption of effective policies for children. It also works with over 200 schools and colleges across India to sensitise young people to child-related issues. It raises funds through individual and corporate partnerships, the sale of CRY products, and fundraising events.
