VK YOGAS is the yoga wing of Vivekananda Kendra. It conducts courses in yoga and Vedanta, and offers yoga therapy for a range of medical and mental illnesses. It conducts 10-day yoga camps for children during the holidays and has special yoga therapy for children with disability, including those with mental retardation and cerebral palsy. It is involved in scientific research to develop yoga techniques for individuals with social and mental disorders. It uses these techniques at its day care centre for children with mental retardation, and offers this service to other voluntary organisations. It also has research facilities for doctors and others interested in yoga therapy.
