Chitra is an amateur theatre group for children and adults. It has staged over 10,000 street plays since its inception, and the only qualification required to join is a passionate love for drama and an innate ability to act. It has conducted dance, drama and painting classes for children with partial visual impairment in association with Shree Ramana Maharishi Academy for the Blind*, and has also held drama camps for tribal children.
