Kathalaya has set up reading corners for children in two book stores in Bangalore, where it holds book reading sessions once a week. It also organises trips for children to show them around Bangalore and narrate stories about different places of interest. It plans to work with seven regular and special schools to create a space for storytelling and the arts, including theatre, puppetry, pottery and bamboo work. It is also interested in extending its services to children in orphanages and in other difficult circumstances.
