Mr Kotiginahalli Ramaiah has a keen interest in folklore and storytelling. He has produced plays based on folk stories in collaboration with Mr Ekbal Ahamed*. He has written two books in Kannada for the government, and brought out audio cassettes for children, including Huyyo Huyyo Maveraya, Vagatina Rani and Makkala Kathe. He organised a camp for children where they converted folk tales into drama. He is also part of Chowki, a group of individuals who are working in the area of folklore.
