Details of Work

SOS Children's Village provides a home atmosphere with comfort and security for destitute children. The Village consists of several independent homes. It has nursery and high school facilities, vocational training, medical and recreational centres. Each home has eight to ten children and a house mother who is trained to look after the child's physical, social and emotional needs. The children live in a family and interact with their siblings. It also consists children in crisis, natural disasters and emergencies. There are 32 SOS Villages in India and 122 allied projects reaching 15,000 children. It has a presence in 127 countries worldwide.
