Liza's Home runs a balwadi for 60 children, 4-6 years; and a cr'che for 24 children, 2-4 years; for those living in the surrounding slum area. In 2000, it started a home for the mentally retarded for children of the surrounding areas as they could not be looked after at home. The children are sent to Ashraya, a school for the mentally challenged, for academic instruction and to learn self-help skills. The children are sent home once or twice a month. Liza's Home plans to start vocational training so that children will be able to fend for themselves after they cross the school age. It also runs a senior citizen's home on the same premises.
