Details of Work

SSA has an early infant stimulation programme, and an intervention programme for children with Down's Syndrome, autism and autistic-like features. It has a full-time programme for adolescents, and a remedial programme for children with learning and emotional difficulties. It offers psycho-educational assessment, guidance, emotional and career counselling. It provides parents guidance, counselling and skill training for management of a child at home. It conducts seminars, workshops and training programmes. It offers consultancy services for setting up developmental disability programmes in urban and rural settings, and resource rooms in schools for children with learning, behavioural and emotional problems. It provides support services to terminally ill children and their families. It also networks with other NGOs.
