Dr Maya Thomas works primarily in the area of disability rehabilitation. She has a doctorate in clinical psychology, and was the Director of the Disability Division at ActionAid*. She is currently involved in improving access to information on disability rehabilitation. This is achieved through publishing a free, bi-annual journal, the Asia Pacific Disability Rehabilitation Journal; and by coordinating regular meetings on disability rehabilitation, held on the last Friday of every alternate month between 2-5pm at Ashirwad, St Mark's Road, Bangalore 560001. The meetings are open to all interested people. She also undertakes assignments in the area of disability rehabilitation related to policy development, improving management effectiveness, and organisational diagnosis and development.
