Details of Work

FTTI is run by the Bangalore Bharat Social Service League. It conducts a 2 year course in teacher training for women. It is recognized by the govt. of Karnataka and the NCTE and awards its students a diploma in education after completion of the course. The teachers are trained to teach children between 5-13 (upto 7th std) in state syllabus schools. The training includes visiting rural schools and conducting classes for school drop-outs, working children and adults under the NSS programme. They also visit schools and centres for the disabled under the Integrated Education programme.
