Details of Work

The institute is sponsored by the HRD Ministry, Central Government. It offers pre-service training at the BEd and MEd level, and in-service training for school and college teachers, staff of the DIET*, Colleges of Teacher Education and Teacher Training Institutes, and Inspecting Officers of the Department of Education. It also undertakes research projects in education, and conducts workshops, seminars, and training programmes.
