Details of Work

Freedom Foundation runs a treatment centre for alcoholics and drug addicts using a bio-psycho-social model. It has a rehabilitation centre for children and adults with HIV/AIDS that provides free services, including food, shelter, medical treatment and counselling. It serves persons with HIV/AIDS from across the country, many of whom are from rural areas. It conducts awareness and prevention programmes for educational institutions, NGOs, government, and the corporate sector. It works with the National Aids Control Organisation, UNAIDS, UNICEF, and other organisations towards increasing awareness, and providing more facilities for the care of the HIV/AIDS affected. It is also involved in community-based schemes.
