Details of Work

IUHPE, Karnataka Chapter works to promote public opinion about reproductive and child health. It trains government and NGO personnel in health care with a special focus on mother and child health. It works in six villages where it organises workshops and discussion sessions on reproductive health and child health, for mothers with children below 5 years, and pregnant women. It offers school health services in two urban schools. This includes early identification and suggested treatment for physical, medical and mental disorders. It offers consultancy services, and initiates research in reproductive and child health issues. Its regional headquarters is at Chennai, with chapters in every state.
