Details of Work

The Department provides maternal and child health services through eight centres, rural and urban. The services include immunisation, growth monitoring, weaning and feeding education, and morbidity clinics. It offers school health services in government-run schools and anganwadis, including regular check-ups, child-to-child health, education, and maintenance of herbal gardens. It provides training for functionaries of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme, and for creche workers on plantations.
