Details of Work

The Vishveshwaraya Industrial and Technological Museum is open to the public through the week. It also organises various activities for school children, including hobby classes in astronomy and rocket-modelling, lecture-demonstrations focusing on hands-on science, quiz programmes, and on-the-spot competitions in painting, essay and elocution. It has a mini-planetarium, Tara Mandal, which has shows everyday, and sky observation programmes every evening after 7.00. It organises a Mobile Science Exhibition for children in rural areas between June-September and November-February every years. It has two large vans that visit two or three districts a year taking current, interesting exhibits to the children.
