Details of Work

Srushti works with children in the field of the performing arts. It conducts training programmes, workshops, and research and development of training modules. Through dance, music and theatre activities, these programmes aim to develop creative communication in children. It has developed the "creative arts expression", a training module, which gives exposure to various art forms and enables children to develop their creative expression. It has also developed a sign language based on Bharatnatyam Mudras to facilitate communication for the differently-abled. It focuses its work on the less privileged, urban and differently-abled children and their teachers. Through a network of schools and NGOs, it has worked with over 1500 children to enhance their competencies and has trained over 2000 teachers to help make teaching more interactive and enjoyable.
