Details of Work

The primary focus of the forum is to lobby with concerned government departments and advocate for implementing various schemes, city-level action plans and facilities for street children. It conducts awareness and training programmes for staff of organisations, activists and government officials. It networks with concerned organisations and individuals, and campaigns for empowerment programmes for street and working children. In Bangalore, it has 12 member NGOs who meet regularly to share their experiences and learnings. It is part of the NGO Forum for Street and Working Children, recognised by the Ministry of Social Welfare, with members from 12 Indian cities.
