CLT works in five government schools in the Yelahanka-Jakkur village area where it supports mid-day meals that are organised by the local village women. Over 400 children are fed through this programme. It also provides after-school tuitions, a scholarship fund for economically backward children, summer camps, and health and hygiene workshops. CLT has started Srujana, a creative learning centre in Jakkur. The focus of the centre is to create a small class environment exposing children to new modes of learning. The facilities at the centre include a computer aided learning, a science laboratory, library activities, art workshops, sports facilities, an amphitheatre, theatre workshops, teacher training workshops. About 850 children from Std 1-10 can use this facility. CLT has 200 dedicated volunteers. It works with community volunteers who are directly involved in activating the School Development Betterment Committee and take up the responsibility of making sure that no child is out of school. Volunteers are also involved in fund-raising, media promotion, programme administration, web-design and participate in school events.
