Details of Work

KSCCW with eight district councils has been involved in child welfare for 44 years. It has 50 creches and one mobile creche. It runs two non-formal education (NFE) centres for beginners and school drop-out girls, and six NFE centres for slum and ragpicking children under the International Programme on Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC). It runs a home for destitute children, and has a child sponsorship programme. It provides vocational training to non-school going girls. It has three balsevika training centres; and it is the adoption scrutinising agency for Karnataka.
