Details of Work

Parinati works in community and women's health, women empowerment, and tribal development in Gundlupet and Chennapatna of Karnataka, and in Wynad in Kerala. It conducts reproductive and child health programmes (RCH), and health and nutrition education in the village and tribal communities. In rural Bangalore, Parinati is involved in providing non-formal education and skill development to 50 school drop-outs in Jigni under the National Child Labour Programme (NCLP). The programme includes child labourers, bonded child labourers and street children. It also conducts a community-based rehabilitation (CBR) programme and a day-care programme for children with all kinds of disabilities in Jigni
