Details of Work

Mobility India provides technical support to rural and urban organisations working in the area of disability. It helps set up orthopaedic workshops for mobility aids; and initiates research and development of appropriate aids, and therapeutic techniques, especially for rural areas. It develops early intervention and rehabilitation programmes for children with disability; and networks and lobbies to ensure equal rights for persons with disability. It has 20 partner organisations in five states, and a regional centre at Calcutta to cater to the North and Northeastern states.
