Details of Work

KHWA has two residential schools in Bangalore and Hassan for 350 hearing impaired children, with computer training from Std 8 upwards. It has diagnosis and assessment camps in rural and semi-rural areas. It provides training for parents, and has a ten-month diploma course for teachers of the hearing impaired. It distributes hearing aids free to economically disadvantaged persons, and offers job placement services. It also has boarding facilities for 50 orphan children.
