Details of Work

Ashraya, run by Empacs (the East Parade Malayalam Pastorate), is a subsidised centre for mentally and physically challenged children and adults. It has 23 children, mainly from the lower income group. Apart from academic instruction, it trains children in motor development, self-help, social and pre-vocational skills. Mid-day meals and transportation to the center and back (within a limited radius) are provided.
