Ms Rama Ranee is a yoga therapist and practitioner committed to the holistic growth of the individual. She has trained at the Bihar School of Yoga, Munger, and at its centre, Atma Darshan Yogashram*, in Bangalore. She has been teaching yoga and yoga therapy for over 10 years, with a focus on women and children. Her centre, Sohum, aims to integrate human health and well-being with care for the environment. It offers yoga classes for adults, especially women and children. It caters to normal children who need yoga as an aid for improving physical health, creative abilities, concentration and the treatment of minor behavioural disorders. It offers yoga therapy for children with special needs including slow learners, children with learning disabilities due to hyperactivity, dyslexia, autism, and other developmental problems; and children who need special therapy for ailments such as asthma and other breathing problems. She is also interested in working with institutions such as hospitals, centres for street children and other voluntary organisations.
