CAFI regularly organises art expositions for children including the mentally and physically disabled and economically disadvantaged, to provide them an opportunity to express their creativity and discover their talent. The art expositions include painting, drawing, clay modeling and craft. It has a project "Art beyond vision in association with NAB-KB for the deaf-blind; and is in the process of publishing a resource guide for individualised art and craft education for the visually impaired. CAFI is the national partner of the International Child Art Foundation. It is responsible for organising a national level art competition; and in leading the Indian delegation to participate in the Arts Olympiad held every four years in Washington. In order to revive and rehabilitate traditional art and artists, it has, after an extensive survey of rod and string puppetry in Karnataka, put together Chandana Puthali, a Bangalore-based team of puppeteers who perform, conduct workshops, demonstrate and assist in research work. It plans to set up an art and craft village near Bangalore where artists can live and work and, through a seminar, plans to bring together artists and scientists to document.How science is involved in fine art?.
