Details of Work

Mr Ekbal Ahamed is a theatre person, especially involved in children s theatre for the last 15 years. He had his formal training in drama at Ninasam, Heggodu, and later worked with Rangamandal, Bhopal, for three years as a stage designer. He has a children s theatre group, Chinna Bana, which has staged several plays including Poli Kitti, Animal Farm, Jungle Book, and Hamlet, in over 200 cities and villages across Karnataka; and has also performed in several schools. He conducted a workshop with over 500 children at Rangayana, Mysore; and he also illustrates children s stories. He is interested in promoting theatre-in-education and would like to organise a musical with 1000 children.
