Ms Kirtana Kumar is an actor and film maker. She has been actively involved in theatre for over 15 years. She has worked at the Los Angeles Theatre Center, where she studied Suzuki Movement Theatre. She has also had training in Manipuri stick fighting, mask making, and Chau. She has a certificate in cinematography and has acted in and directed documentary and feature films, including a film on child sexual abuse (CSA). She has held workshops on the issue of CSA for various NGOs, schools and colleges. She taught drama at The Valley School, Bangalore, and has conducted drama for communication workshops for NGOs and activists working in rural and tribal areas. She has also conducted extensive theatre workshops for children and educators.
