Attakkalari conducts lecture-demonstrations on different movement styles, and performs short dance and music pieces. It holds workshops in martial art and contemporary dance; and has a one-week residential workshop culminating in a performance. It offers customised workshops for different groups. It also trains teachers, and offers consultancy in curriculum development in movement education. It works with voluntary organisations that reach out to slum and street children, children with special needs and children who have no access to schooling
