Details of Work

Asha Deep has a home for girl street and ragpicking children. It provides non-formal education at its centre, helps children go to formal schools, and assists with school fees, meals and homework of nearby slum children. It provides medical care and counselling, and has income-generation schemes. It provides temporary shelter for girl children referred through the child helpline, Makkala Sahaya Vani*. It is a member of the Bangalore Forum for Street and Working Children*.
